when the pics are put together like this you can see just how drastic their posture/faces change
It definately looks like Emma pulled her in closer by swivelling her into Emma’s other side and in the second pic the *wand* thing isn’t held to Regina’s neck anymore it’s just….there, like really loosely held so Emma’s obviously not ‘threatening’ her no longer
And look at Emma’s hair - it looks like she has whipped it to the side and back. Maybe Emma heard Cora was gonna do something - whipped her head round towards her - and whatever it is concerns Regina so Emma whips her head back to Regina - she sees Regina’s shocked/hurt face so becomes incredibly protective and pulls her closer, then turns her head to make the “DONT HURT MY BABY” expression.
Adding to the ‘whipping around theory’ Emma’s coat is open and on the outside on this first pic, but it ends up caught between them in the second pic.
Regina could of also pulled Emma’s arm tighter around her - wanting comfort from her. She has a pretty tight grip there - in the first pic it’s ‘stop restraining me’ - in the second pic it’s ‘don’t let go, I need you’

When Henry was 3 and had the chicken pox Regina put on a puppet show for him, hiding behind the couch so he doesn’t see her. Throughout the show Regina gets into it and is changing her voice and being all enthusiastic. She doesn’t hear Henry get up until she sees him peeking around the couch smiling at her.
“Oh no! We’ve been caught!” Regina says to the alligator puppet on her hand.
“Mommy you’re funny.”
Gah the cute. It’s too much.
